My take on Furry, and Toonism

Something that has been bugging me for a while now is how furries are treated.

It's been publically bashed, denounced as sinful, and now most furry-related material is banned for many image boards. They are looked down on, and making furries miserable is treated like some sort of honorable act. It's even been called a "gateway" that will lead people into into sick and disturbing tastes.

I, for one, am fed up with this. Why can't the people of the internet learn to accept the furry fandom? Is it because of what is seen on TV?

If it's because of the whole irrational fear of Bugs Bunny being part of the furry fandom, then I propose a new branch of what is found on the internet.

Perhaps there can be a new thing called "Toonism", which is directly related to all "Cartoon" characters, as in from Looney Toons, Disney, etc. It would be entirely separate from Furries, mainly because Toonism could include HUMAN characters as well as anthropomorphic ones.

Would that stop the anti-Furry mistreatment?

Post thoughts.

I've never really looked at much fanart so I really wouldn't know much about the problem in general. But that drawing is really cool =]

Personally I just find it bizarre that such a large group of people would be into that kind of porn. I don't see it as "wrong," it's just weird. >.<;;
